The almost islanders network is a system of tools and servers centered around better collaboration and communication in music development. With the help of our partners listed below, and a carefully modified collection of open source software, I aim to provide an all encompassing solution for the many problems we're all plagued with. Free of charge! I've spent countless hours, and wads of cash to bring this project to you all. No strings attached, no data harvesting, no ads, no bullshit. My only hope is to increase the prosperity of the greater music community by making this network and set of tools available to you all.  

The network itself consists of:

A permanent NDI bridge to facilitate the real-time transfer of many audio files from DAW to DAW (Optional Fiber-Optic vlan backhaul for guaranteed low latency) 

ASIO to web nodes for real-time listening through the web

 
A Musical file storage system with built in Music player, timestamp-comment system, and

revision tracking.

 
RTPMidi nodes for DAW to DAW syncing

A private dedicated Sonobus server for quick single channel and iOS/Android connections

These nodes, servers, ndi feeds, and storage solutions are always on and available to facilitate any collaborative need you might have. I've taken the liberty of assembling two packages of tools to help you interface with the network. The Artist Package is a simplified tool set specializing in quick connections without sacrificing quality. While the Engineer Package contains every piece of (free) software I've ever found useful in my many years of working remotely with strange folk on the internet. While I did not make many of these tools. I have carefully modified some, and obtained permissions for others, and in some more affordable instances full corporate broadcast licences have been purchased for redistribution. "But Troy, why would you do this?" I hear you ask. I honestly believe the standardization of collaboration amongst groups of artists and engineers will be so profitable for us all I'm willing to invest in it now.
